BUSTI – A Dayton, Oh. man wanted on felony warrants in the Town of Portland was arrested after he allegedly fled into the woods Sunday afternoon, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said that Jason D. Wasson, 45, allegedly entered an Orr Street Extension residence without permission. Wasson reportedly fled into the woods just prior to members of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department arriving.

Wasson was reportedly located roughly two miles away from the scene. He was taken to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment due to exposure from the weather and later taken to Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned on second-degree burglary.
