FREDONIA – The travel advisory for the Village of Fredonia will expire at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Earlier in the day, the Village of Fredonia Police Department issued a travel ban due to poor road conditions and low visibility caused by Lake Effect Snow.

As of 11 a.m. Saturday officials downgraded the ban to an advisory, however they still urge caution on roadways.

The Fredonia Department of Public works is asking for the pubic to keep parked vehicles off the roadway so they can remove fallen snow.

The National Weather Service is calling for a sustained period of heavy snow along with winds over the next several hours in the village.

Police advise residents to turn to their local weather for more information on conditions.

They remind the public that police and fire services are in high demand during these types of weather conditions. They want the public to refrain from calling police to get weather condition updates.
