Search Continues: Authorities Seek Lakewood Armed Bank Robber

LAKEWOOD – Investigators have released surveillance photos from the Five Star Bank at 284 Fairmount Ave after police said the establishment was robbed at gunpoint Friday evening.

The FBI reports the robbery was “takeover-style” where employees were ordered at gunpoint into a room during the robbery. Police said no one was hurt during the incident.

The robber was heavily disguised but investigators said he may be a 60-year-old white man who is 250-275 lbs and around six feet tall.

Police believe a 1997 or 1998 Ford F-250 truck is the vehicle of interest.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department is the lead on the investigation. They’re assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
