Driver Injured As Car Slams Into A House On Panama-Stedman Road

NORTH HARMONY – A driver was injured and charged when the car they were driving left the roadway and slammed into a residence near the intersection of the Panama-Stedman Road and Baker Road at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said Madison Styers, 20 , of Clymer, was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent and having an unsafe tire. Styers was  transported to UPMC Chautauqua for apparent non-life threatening injuries and is to be in Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

Deputies said Styers was driving southbound on Panama-Stedman Road, lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway and struck a house. No one was in the home at the time of the crash, Deputies said. New York State Police Troopers assisted at the scene.
