Seven Arrested In Methamphetamine Raid


CONEWANGO – Seven people were arrested following a raid Friday evening at 138 Williams St. which resulted in the seizure of more than a half ounce of crystal methamphetamine packaged in several small containers, along with scales and packaging used in the illegal sales of methamphetamine, according to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. 

A small amount of marijuana was also reportedly seized.

The following are charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia: Robert G. Clark, 33, Jaime M. Camacho Jr., 58, Bonnie S. Slater, 58, Charlotte A. Schuver, 31, all of 39 Williams St., Conewango, Austin W. Slater, 33, of 6237 Rt. 62 Dayton, and Layna R. Jimerson 29) of 12357 Cottage Road, South Dayton.





Alex C. Hayes, 27, of 139 Williams St., Conewango, is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

All seven were transported to the Town of New Albion Court for arraignment, and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is made up of members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Salamanca Police Department, Village of Franklinville Police department and the Village of Gowanda Police Department.
