
WESTERN NEW YORK – The Class AA High School Boys Basketball Quarterfinals will begin on Friday, and all of the tip-offs will be at 7 p.m.
The Frontier Falcons, who are the number eight seed, will be on the road to battle the top-seeded Williamsville North Spartans.
Frontier finished the regular season with a 10-10 record, and defeated Hamburg in their final regular season game of the year, 56-36.
Meanwhile, Williamsville North went 19-3 this season and have won their last four games.
In other AA action, the number five seed Lockport Lions will be on the road against the fourth-seeded Clarence Red Devils.
Entering the first round of the playoffs, Lockport (14-6) has won their last five games.
Clarence, like Lockport, also had a 14-6 record, and won their last game, 59-46, against the Williamsville South Billies.
Entering the Quarterfinals with a 19-3 record, including a record of 12-1 in league play, the second-seeded Niagara Falls Wolverines will host the number seven seed Lancaster Legends.
Lancaster is coming off of a win in their final game of the regular season, 56-42, over the Frontier Falcons.
Lancaster capped the regular season finishing 6-14.
Looking to extend their winning streak to seven games, the number three seeded Jamestown Red Raiders will host the Orchard Park Quakers, which are the number six seed.
Jamestown ended the regular season with a record of 15-5.
Orchard Park went 9-11 during the regular season, but are on a two-game winning streak of their own.
The winners of their respective games will advance to the Semi-Finals, which will take place at Buffalo State College on Monday.
