JAMESTOWN – After a very windy Sunday, lake effect snow has setup on the back end of the
storm system that moved through this weekend.

The National Weather Service has canceled the High Wind Warning for all of Western New York and have since replaced it with a Wind Advisory, which is set to expire at 54 PM this afternoon. While the strongest winds are over with, wind gusts could still reach 50 MPH in spots through the afternoon.

Lake effect snow will continue throughout the day as well ultimately dying down through the night into tomorrow morning. Additional snowfall accumulations will be around an inch is most spots.

We are keeping our eyes on the end of the into the weekend. Another warmup will come our way and with fluctuating temperatures once again, another gusty wind event is possible next Saturday. We are still several days out so nothing is written in stone quite yet but we will keep you updated throughout the week.
