FALCONER – Some of the departments at Truck Lite Co, LLC. will remain in Falconer, according to two sources who spoke to WNYNewsNow over the weekend on the condition of anonymity.
Both sources told WNYNewsNow that the manufacturing jobs will stay.
“Essentially it’s the white-collar jobs that are relocating,” one source said. “They have had challenges recruiting people.”
The other source added that the Research and Development Department will be relocating to the Pittsburgh area. In addition, that source said that the engineering department will remain in Falconer.
“World wide corporate is moving. Truck-Lite is not moving,” the source said when asked if any department is relocating to the Detroit area. “There may be changes over the next decade where other corporate divisions move, but right now, only the world wide VPs are in the Detroit area. There is a sister company in Detroit owned by Truck-Lite that is there now.”
As of publish time, a call to Truck Lite’s corporate spokesperson has been unanswered. WNYNewsNow will continue to follow the story as it develops.
