MAYVILLE – A warrant was recently issued for Tyler A. “Cash” Perez, 35, of Jamestown, on a charge of first-degree manslaughter- actor 18 years or more, victim 11 years or less, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office live warrants feed.

In addition, the Sheriff’s Office website indicated that Perez was booked into Chautauqua County Jail without bail early Friday evening.

Perez is, according to several reports, considered as a person of interest by the Jamestown Police Department in the 2014 death of infant Nayla Hodnett.

As of Saturday morning, however, there’s no official indication that Perez is being charged in Hodnett’s death.

When reached by phone Saturday morning, Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson declined to comment.

Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings also declined comment when reached by phone.
