KENNEDY – A Kennedy man faces multiple domestic abuse related charges following an alleged incident Sunday.
New York State Police have charged Austin Muntz, 22, of Kennedy, with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree menacing.
Troopers responded to a Kennedy residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that during an argument, Muntz pinned the victim to the bed with his hands around her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe, and broke her phone when she attempted to call 911. The incident occurred near a five month old child. Muntz was arrested, processed at SP Jamestown and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail. The victim was treated at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown for minor injuries.
