
NORTH HARMONY – In a joint effort by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, a wanted Jamestown man and a Frewsburg man face drug charges following a tip that the wanted man was riding in a car on I-86 at a high rate of speed.
Justin Meacham, 37 of Jamestown, and Coty W. Schauers, 22, of Frewsburg, were stopped by police after they saw the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Meacham was charged on a warrant for fifth-degree sale of a controlled substance. During the investigation, police said they discovered about 27 grams of methamphetamine and the pair were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
They were remanded to the county jail pending arraignment. Jamestown Police and New York State Police assisted.
