Woman Charged After Allegedly Hitting Police Car In Fredonia

FREDONIA – A Forestville woman was charged by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department with driving while intoxicated at 12:40 a.m., Saturday, after she allegedly struck a Deputy’s car while it was on a vehicle stop with its emergency lights flashing on West Main Street in Fredonia.

Deputies said a vehicle passed the Chautauqua County patrol unit striking the patrol unit causing damage. The operator of this vehicle fled the scene and was stopped a short distance down the road, according to police.

Jessica M. Tenamore, 34, of Forestville,  NY. . was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 percent blood alcohol level, refusal to take a breath test, and failure to exercise due care when passing a stopped, standing or parked emergency vehicle. Tenamore was released with appearance tickets and will appear in the Village of Fredonia court at a later date.
