Panama Man Sentenced To Prison After Previously Pleading Guilty To Sex Crimes


MAYVILLE – A Panama man was sentenced to state prison on Monday after previously pleading guilty in March to course of sexual conduct against a child and second-degree rape, a Chautauqua County Court Clerk told WNYNewsNow.

According to the clerk, Frederick L. Antill, Jr. will serve a determinate seven-year state prison sentence followed by 20 years of post-release supervision for the course of sexual conduct against a child charge. In addition, Antill, Jr. will serve a determinate five-year sentence in state prison plus seven years of post-release supervision for the second-degree rape charge to run concurrently with the course of sexual conduct against a child sentence.

Antill, Jr. was originally indicted on 12 counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, two counts of second-degree rape and one count of second-degree sex abuse, in addition to the first-degree sexual conduct against a child.


According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation revealed that Antill, Jr. allegedly engaged in sexual acts with two juvenile female victims on various dates and times in February and Mar. 2018. Antill, Jr. was arrested on Apr. 20 on some of the charges, and additional charges were added on May 1.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson, when reached by phone Wednesday, said that his office is “pleased with the sentence.”
