JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man was charged after he allegedly ran from police while they were trying to speak with him in the area of East Sixth and Spring Streets Tuesday morning.

David A.E. Blakey, 29, is charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Police said they were dispatched to the area for a reported “walking domestic” between a man and a woman.

When they arrived they located the pair, and when officers pulled up to speak with them, police said Blakey took off running.

Following a short foot pursuit, police were able to stop Blakey.

Police said they were unable to find the woman following the chase.
