FALCONER – State Lanes, 16 E Main St, Falconer, said a malfunctioning heater caused an odor, some smoke, and the eventual firefighter response to the bowling alley Saturday.

According to the statement, a heater blower wire was the cause of the odor, some smoke and loads of clean up.

Crews from Falconer, Kennedy and Kiantone responded to a reported fire at the Falconer business just after 11:30 Saturday morning.

In the statement released Sunday night the bowling alley said the lanes and consoles are still operational. After some cleanup the business said they should be open again soon.
