GERRY – Two people are charged after New York State Police said they discovered a two-year-old unsupervised and dressed only in a diaper in the northbound lane of Route 60 Wednesday near the four corners of Gerry.

Jacob Atwell, 24, and Nikki Coulson, 32, both of Gerry, were reportedly inside their residence, unaware of the child’s situation until a Good Samaritan brought the child home.

Atwell and Coulson were placed under arrest, processed at SP Jamestown and issued appearance tickets on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Atwell and Coulson are scheduled to appear in the Town of Gerry Court on a later date.
