MAYVILLE – A Mayville man was arrested following a warrant check Wednesday in the Village of Mayville, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
James R. Mawhir, 29, reportedly had an active arrest warrant for criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Mawhir was placed into custody without incident and was taken to Chautauqua County Jail.
He’ll answer his charge at a later date.
