JAMESTOWN – An attempted warrant arrest by Jamestown Police of a city man turned into a resisting arrest charge at 8:10 p.m. Friday on the corner of Winsor and Chandler Streets.

Jamestown Police said they saw David C. Hanley, 42, of Jamestown, walking near the intersection and confirmed he was wanted on a warrant out of the Town of Ellicott.

Police said they approached Hanley to arrest him and he fled. He was ordered to stop several times. Police detained him, used wroist restraints and taken to the City Jail.

Hanley was being held in jail pending arraignment.
