JAMESTOWN – Hundreds lined the streets Monday to honor service men and women who ‘paid the ultimate sacrifice’ while defending our freedom.

Veterans, their families, organizations, groups, schools and government officials marched as part of the United Veterans Council of Jamestown’s annual Memorial Day Parade on Prendergast Avenue at 10 a.m.

Cody Willett, an Ashville Air Force Vet who was recently awarded a home makeover from Lifetime’s Military Makeover show, served as the parade’s Grand Marshall.

Memorial services followed the parade in Lakeview Cemetery’s Soldiers’ Circle.
