JAMESTOWN – More rain is on the way to Western New York later this afternoon and tonight and a couple storms could contain some gusty winds especially after midnight.
The NOAA Storm Prediction Center has outlined the Southern Tier and Northwestern Pennsylvania under a less than average Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorms tonight. Please keep in mind that because the overall severe weather threat is rather low, it is not zero.
Storms will fire tonight with an approaching front. The main timing window for the strongest storms will be between 10 p.m. tonight until 3 a.m. early tomorrow morning. The primary factors with storms tonight will be gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
After early morning rain, Tuesday afternoon is looking dry with temps in the mid to upper 70’s.
Humidity will also continue to be a factor through much of the upcoming week. Humidity will become rather oppressive on Wednesday and Thursday making it feel rather uncomfortable.
