WESTERN NEW YORK – Those looking for the perfect summer body may want to grab an extra ‘cup of joe’.

A new study published by the University of Nottingham found that coffee helps stimulate ‘brown fat reserves’ which plays a role in how quickly people burn calories.

The study shows levels of brown fat are higher in children; but decrease as people get older.

Coffee apparently helps boost their fat busting power.

Sceintists said they still need to do more research to figure out exactly what is in coffee that helps speed up weight loss.

The study was published in the Journal Scientific Reports.
