Task Force Arrests Two In Drug Raid


DUNKIRK – Two Dunkirk residents were arrested following a raid by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Dunkirk Police Department Tuesday afternoon at 5040 W. Lake Rd., according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Jorge L. Ortiz-Reyes, 21, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

A search of the residence reportedly resulted in the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash. Officers also reportedly located a loaded stolen hand gun, a loaded sawed off firearm, an assault rifle and a stun gun.

Ortiz-Reyes was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on the outstanding arrest warrant and bail was set at $500,000.00. He reportedly faces more charges pending further investigation.

A 17-year-old female was also reportedly located in the residence. She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and committed to the county jail on pre-arraignment bail. She reportedly faces further charges pending investigation.
