Dunkirk Police Warn Of Attempted Vehicle Break-ins

DUNKIRK – Dunkirk Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles and be vigilant in the wake of investigating a couple vehicle entries overnight.

Police said they are investigating a series of vehicle entries in the areas of West Fifth and Sixth Street around Brigham Road and McKinley Avenue.

The vehicles entered were unlocked. The Police Department is asking residents to be vigilant and if they notice anything or anyone suspicious in their neighborhood to call 911 or the Police Communications Desk at 366-2266.


“Again, the vehicles that were entered were unlocked so please keep your doors locked and don’t leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle,” Police said.
