ARKWRIGHT – A total of eleven hikers, two adults and nine youths ranging from ages 4 to 19, became lost for approximately four hours Monday evening in the area of a creek near Park Road, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that all 11 individuals were located following a search by by Sheriff’s K9 and State Rangers.

Two individuals sustained minor injuries. They were treated on scene by Cassadaga Fire and later transported to Brook Hospital.

Sheriff’s Road Patrol, Cassadaga Fire Department, New York State Forest Rangers, members of the C.A.S.T. team, Sheriff K9’s Drake and Bentley all responded.
