JAMESTOWN – After receiving the Libertarian Party’s endorsement for Jamestown City Mayor last week, City Councilman At-Large Andrew Liuzzo has decided to continue his campaign.

Liuzzo made the announcement Tuesday on Hazzard Street, which is where he grew up. Liuzzo said that he wants to make a difference in the community for citizens and businesses.

“After much consideration and with the support of my family, I’ve chosen to accept the Libertarian endorsement for Mayor of the City of Jamestown. I’m grateful to the support from the Libertarian Committee, who have given us another opportunity to give voice to the citizens of this great city,” Liuzzo said.

Liuzzo lost in a Republican primary to County Legislator Dave Wilfong last month. At the time, Liuzzo told WNYNewsNow that he’d
“probably” retire.

As it stands, however, Liuzzo will run against Wilfong and Democrat Eddie Sundquist for mayor.
