Mostly Sunny With An Isolated Shower, July Heat And Humidity Returns For The Weekend

JAMESTOWN – Today will be almost a near clone of Wednesday with lots of sunshine for the afternoon with the chance for an isolated shower. The heat and humidity will rebuild going through the weekend into next week.

Temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 70’s with comfortable humidity. Computer model guidance has not been doing a good job picking up on the spotty showers that have occurred over the past couple of days. That potential still does exist for the afternoon.

There is the potential for a couple showers during the early evening hours otherwise partly cloudy with decreasing clouds overnight. With clearing skies and light wind, some valley fog will set back up by morning. Lows will range 54 to 62.

As we’ve been talking about much of this week, the Jet Stream will begin to favor a warmer flow aloft starting on Friday. The temperatures and the humidity will respond to that change aloft. Temps will be in the 80’s over the weekend and into mid next week with muggy humidity values once again.

Sunday through Wednesday will see the chance for widely-spaced showers and storms through the afternoon. These storm will popup at random times and not everyone will see a storm. Not a single day will be a washout with plenty of dry time in between.
