FALCONER – Power is restored in Falconer after a truck hit a power pole Thursday morning.

Rebecca Robbins, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Communications Coordinator, told WNYNewsNow that the utility shut off power to the village so the truck driver could safely escape his vehicle which was covered by a live wire.

The crash happened shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday near the Community Bank on East Main Street in Falconer.

The Cassadaga Water Pump Station was also shut down during the outage. Robbins said residents could see discolored water for the next 12 to 24 hours. Customers are advised not to do laundry during that time.
