MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello is raising concerns about a company proposing to put industrial wind turbines in Lake Erie.

Borrello took to Facebook to question the company’s standing.

“DIAMOND GENERATING CORP. This is the company proposing to put industrial wind turbines in Lake Erie. This wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi is not an energy company. It’s just a front company. Almost no information about them is available. Even Bloomberg doesn’t know when they were founded. Their website is nothing but a page with a few sentences. This is the company that the governor is trusting to not destroy our beautiful lake??,” Borrello posted Tuesday.

A WNYNewsNow search of the company’s history revealed little information of value.

“Diamond Generating Corporation offers power development and generation. The Company offers a variety of services including greenfield development, acquisition, fuel procurement, financing, construction, and operations management. Diamond Generating serves customers worldwide,” is how the company is described by Bloomberg.
