DUNKIRK – The Offshore Grand Prix Boat Races are set to kick off this weekend at the Dunkirk Harbor.

This is the second year the races are held in the City of Dunkirk. The three-day event includes a boat parade on Friday, boat trials on Saturday and the competition on Sunday.

Dunkirk Police Chief David Ortolano says traffic is expected to be congested along Central Avenue Friday evening during the parade. He advises motorists to pay attention to posted signs and parking information.

Last year’s event was streamed on CBS Sports Network.
