JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman allegedly kicked a deputy intentionally during a traffic stop Sunday morning during a traffic stop, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Stephanie D. Lockett, 36, allegedly failed to stop for a red light on Washington Street. Lockett was allegedly found to be intoxicated, and deputies said she refused a preliminary breath test.

Lockett allegedly kicked the deputy when authorities tried to place her into the rear seat of a patrol vehicle. Lockett also allegedly refused a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content.

Lockett was charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree harassment, refusing to submit to a breath test and failure to stop at a red light. She was released with appearance tickets and will appear in City of Jamestown Court at a later date to answer charges.
