CELORON – Officials in the Village of Celoron unveiled a new basketball court Monday.
The court was built as part of an agreement by Hart Hotels to contribute to the nearby Lucille Ball Memorial Park.
Built by Lake Shore Paving, the full-sized blacktop court features two adjustable height goals with full-size glass backboards.
The village has been improving the park over the recent years. In June, they opened a new boardwalk along Chautauqua Lake. Installation of new restrooms are also planned.
Following the afternoon ribbon cutting the Jamestown Jackals, a local professional basketball team, held a free basketball clinic for area elementary school aged girls and boys.
