
JAMESTOWN – After an early morning round of rain, there will still be the chance for a couple lingering showers across the Southern Tier especially early this afternoon. The humidity will also begin to come down through the remainder of the week leading into the Labor Day weekend.
Any showers or thunderstorms will come to an end by the late afternoon hours with some clearing from west to east. Highs temp range 73 at the Lake Erie waterfront to 79 inland with a healthy west breeze up to 20 MPH.
There could be an isolated shower early but otherwise the evening will be partly to mostly clear. The cloud deck will begin to thicken up throughout the overnight, keeping temps from dropping back quite a bit by morning. Lows 53 valleys, 60 waterfront.
Thursday will be great weather day with partial sunshine, low humidity, and comfortable temperatures in the lower to mid 70’s. Best chance of rain on Friday will early in the morning, becoming partly to mostly sunny in the afternoon.
Labor Day Weekend: The weekend is looking to be hit and miss and this point. Saturday should be mainly dry but highs will be held down into the upper 60’s for most areas. A few rain showers will return on Sunday but will not be a total scrub with some dry time in between.
Monday is looking good with a sun and clouds mix, and low humidity. Everything should go off just as planned for all the Labor Day festivities around the region.
