PANAMA — Panama Central School will be hosting a 5K Color Run/Walk to raise money for the 7th and 8th grade field trip to the nation’s capital.
Early registration for the run costs $25 per person and is due Thursday, September 19. Runners will also receive a shirt and color packet as part of the registration cost.
Officials said while late registrations will be accepted up to the day of the event, there is no guarantee of a shirt or color packet. Late registration costs $30.
Runners will line up Saturday, Oct. 5 at Panama Central School, 41 North St., just before 9 a.m.
The race will take place in stages every 20 minutes until all participants have left for the course.
A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, October 6 at 1 p.m. A basket raffle and a baked goods will be for sale.

School officials say the trip is scheduled to take place in May 2020.
