MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County’s Executive announced Monday he will present his 2020 Tentative Budget to lawmakers later this month; a plan that contains no tax hike to residents.

Executive George Borrello says details of his budget will be revealed during the County Legislature meeting on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers of the Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie St. in Mayville.

After Borrello presents his budget, he says legislators will begin their review of it by meeting with department heads and determining if any additional modifications are needed.

They will then need to pass a final budget for 2020 on or before December 1.

“I look forward to presenting my second tentative budget as County Executive,” said Borrello. “The presentation will provide an outline of a responsible budget that holds the line on taxes.”

The tentative budget presentation is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

Residents can also watch the meeting live on the county’s Facebook page.

Copies of the 2020 Tentative Budget Presentation and the Chautauqua County 2020 Tentative Budget will be available online by September 30. The presentation will be available on the County Executive’s website and the tentative budget will be available on the Finance Department’s website.
