Reed’s Collapse At Capital Due To Undiagnosed Case Of Pneumonia

WASHINGTON – Congressman Tom Reed says his sudden collapse at the Capitol Rotunda Thursday was caused by an undiagnosed case of pneumonia.

The congressmen collapsed during a medical emergency Thursday afternoon before he was scheduled to appear on Fox Business Network.

Spectrum News Reporter Samantha-Jo Roth tweeted Reed was “unconscious for about 30 seconds or so after he hit the ground.”

Paramedics checked his vitals before wheeling him out in a gurney.

In a statement to the media Friday, the congressman thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Reed said he plans to return to work on Monday.
