FREDONIA – The Village of Fredonia Police Department is currently investigating a series of residential burglaries that took place over the past weekend.

Fredonia Police Chief Bradley Meyers says the break-ins happened overnight between Friday and Sunday in the areas of Central Avenue and Lambert, Newton, Green, and Center Streets.

“While many of tenants of the apartments burglarized where not home at the time of the burglaries, in a few instances the subjects where surprised, scared and chased off by the residents,” said Meyers. “We are asking village residents that have exterior cameras to check their footage and see if they have any subjects on their cameras during the overnight hours.”

Anyone with any information in the case is asked to contact the Fredonia Police Department at (716) 679-1531.
