
JAMESTOWN – Temperatures this week will be on a bit of a roller coaster ride. Mid 60’s today, mid 70’s tomorrow, back into the 60’s on Thursday before landing in the mid 70’s by the weekend.
A cooler air mass over the region will provide for fall like weather today. It will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 60’s. Tonight will be mainly clear as temperatures drop into the lower 50’s near the lake shore and upper 40’s inland.
High pressure moving by tomorrow will allow temperatures to rise back into the mid 70’s with partial sunshine. It will become a bit breezy in the afternoon as a cold front approaches with wind gusts possibly nearing 30 MPH at times.
A weak cold front will pass by late Wednesday into Thursday, knocking temperatures back into the mid 60’s by Thursday. A few rain showers will be around in the morning, with clouds and sun sharing the sky.
The average temperature for this time of year is 68 degrees. Temperatures will return to above average in the 70’s as the weekend approaches with a couple isolated showers possible on Saturday.
