New Trial Scheduled For Man Charged In Jamestown Rape Case

MAYVILLE – A new trial has been scheduled for a Conewango man charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act.

A Chautauqua County court clerk told WNYNewsNow that jury selection for Dennis L. Park, 34, will begin December 3 in Chautauqua County Court.

The clerk confirmed that a mistrial was previously ruled by Judge David Foley earlier this summer.

Park is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at knife-point during an incident last July on Marion Street in the City of Jamestown. He remains in Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

First Assistant District Attorney Michael Flaherty will represent the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, while Public Defender Ned Barone will represent Park.
