Two Charged In Fredonia Burglary

FREDONIA – Two people were charged Friday in connection with past tense burglaries on Terrace Street, according to the Fredonia Police Department.

Police said, while investigating the burglaries, they received a call of a burglary in progress on White Street.

Officers reportedly entered into a foot pursuit with the two suspects up into the Foresthill Cemetery.











A perimeter was established around the cemetery with the assistance of the University Police, NY State Police, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and units from the Dunkirk Police to include their K-9 Unit. As a result FPD was able to apprehend the two.

Howard C. Williams III, 21, of Amherst, and Donte-Taven Donald Peay, 20, of Towawanda, were charged with petit larceny, second-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests and charges are possible.
