JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown woman was arrested after police alleged they found her in possession of a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl and a digital scale just after midnight Monday.

Jamestown Police report Crystal L. Depew, 27, is charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Police say Depew, along with a group of people, were found trespassing at the Prendergast Library by officers on patrol.

While speaking with the group, police said Depew gave them a false name. She then reportedly began to quickly walk away from officers in an attempt to avoid arrest.

Officers were able to track Depew down and take her into custody. Police said they later discovered the drugs and her true identity.
