Lake Effect Snow Ends, But The Cold Temperatures Remain

JAMESTOWN – Winter arrived early this year, and it seems to be here to stay. The snow that the area has seen these past few days will begin to taper off this afternoon, but the cold temperatures will remain in place.

The Lake Effect Snow Showers will shut off this afternoon, leaving mostly cloudy skies for the remainder of the day. Temperatures will be well below average with highs only in the mid-20’s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows only in the mid teens.

Thursday and Friday will be a near repeat of each other. It will be bit warmer with temperatures reaching into the mid-to-upper 30’s. Both days will be mostly cloudy with a small chance for a rain or snow shower.

High Pressure begins to build in by the weekend. Saturday will see plenty of sunshine with temperatures hovering near 30.

More sunshine for Sunday and it will be a bit warmer with temperatures nearing 40.
