JAMESTOWN – City of Jamestown crews harvested and installed this year’s Christmas Tree Thursday morning.

The 50-foot tall Colorado Blue Spruce was donated by the family of Dr. Kenneth and Miranda Erickson.

The tree was harvested from the former Migliore’s Funeral Home on East Fourth Street.

The building now serves as the new home to Dr. Erickson’s Chiropractic Office, Health and Wellness Center.

Once the tree was removed by crews from the city’s parks, recreation and conservation department, it was taken to city hall.

The crane raised and held the tree in place while it was secured in preparation for decorating.

In the next few weeks, over 3,000 energy saving LED lights will be put up.

The tree lighting of will take place at the start of the City of Jamestown Holiday Parade on Friday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m.
