FREWSBURG – A GoFundMe page is looking to raise money to help a local teen who is battling an aggressive form of cancer.

The page, setup by Alicia Raymond, so far has raised over $6,000 for 14-year-old Frewsburg native Brendon Edwards, who late last month was diagnosed with stage four Adenocarcinoma Cancer.

“This news has been unbelievably difficult for Brendon, his family, friends, neighbors, and community to grasp,” said Raymond. “In an effort to respect his privacy, we are not sharing details however; he is starting treatment at Roswell Park Cancer Center to fight for his life.”

Edwards is the oldest of four siblings. He enjoys sports, school and doing chores on his family’s farm.

Raymond says the Edwards family is currently a one income household and every donation, big or small, helps.

“Some funds will go toward his cancer treatment and related costs,” explained Raymond. “Other funds will go towards his family’s living expenses so that they can focus on his healing.”

The community is also holding a can drive at Frewsburg Central High School on Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
