County Republicans Support Wendel As Next Executive

MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Republican leaders are throwing their support behind Legislature Chairman Paul “PJ” Wendel who is vying to be the county’s next executive.

The committee made their recommendation Thursday night.

Last week, Wendel announced his candidacy for the position just hours after now New York State Senator George Borrello left office.

Legislator Mark Odell has also lobbied for the job.

The full county legislature is expected to vote on the committee’s recommendation during a meeting on December 18.
