JAMESTOWN – One of the area’s largest Christmas parades and holiday celebrations took place Friday night.
Organized by the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation, this year’s Jamestown Christmas Parade and Holiday Celebration theme was ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’. Participants decorated their vehicles, floats, and people with the musical theme.
This was Mayor Sam Teresi’s last year leading the event. He says it’s a bit “bitter sweet.”
“Mostly sweet knowing that the community is going to be having a good time,” said Teresi. “Also, looking back as to how this event was built and how it will continue to grow in the years to come.”
Following the parade, a grand finale fireworks display took place.
Festivities were presented by The Resource Center.
