LAKEWOOD – Officials with the Chautauqua Mall say those who get into the spirit of giving this holiday season could get the chance to win a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice.

The campaign dubbed the ‘Gift Kindness Contest’ runs from now until December 27.

Mall guests are encouraged to gift kindness to other, whether it’s holding the door open, handwriting a note to a loved one, or paying off a stranger’s layaway.

“This holiday season, we are encouraging guests to give the gift of kindness to friends, family, partners, team members, acquaintances or strangers,” said Julie Bihler, General Manager at Chautauqua Mall. “Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give, and we hope this campaign will spark the spirit of giving in our community, one act of kindness at a time.”

Guests can select a random act of kindness in the form of a gift tag at the Gift Kindness activation, located at Chautauqua Mall next to Auntie Anne’s, or come up with their own act of kindness.

For a chance to win the ultimate prize in support of charity, guests are encouraged to share their act of kindness on their public Instagram feed.

To qualify for the contest they must also follow and tag Chautauqua Mall and tag the charity they love, and use the hashtag #GiftKindnessContest.

A very worthy #GiftKindnessContest winner will be chosen and notified in January 2020.

Gift Kindness illustrates Chautauqua Mall’s commitment to celebrating the community with events and activations throughout the year.
