Water Off In Parts Of Lakewood As Crews Repair Main Break

LAKEWOOD – Water is shutoff to some BPU customers in Lakewood as crews work to repair a main break on Southwestern Drive.

The utility says crews are repairing a water main break on Southwestern Drive between Hunt Road and Baker Street.

Customers on Southwestern Drive from Hunt Road to Baker Street; south of Hunt Road toward Baker Street between Orchard Road and Big Tree Road could see discolored water for 12 to 24 hours.


Officials say do not wash laundry until water appears clear.

Low water pressure in the area has been reported.

Tuesday afternoon crews worked to repair a similar main break on Baker Street between Winch and Shadyside.
