JAMESTOWN – Gas prices in Jamestown are on the rise.

AAA of Western and Central New York reports that the price for a regular gallon of gasoline has gone up three cents in the last week nationwide.

In Jamestown, the average price for regular gallon of petrol is $2.85. Dunkirk’s average is a little less, at $2.79 a gallon.

Across the border in Warren Pennsylvania, the price for a gallon of regular gas is around $2.89.

Experts say the holiday travel season increased demand, which increased prices.
