WESTFIELD – A City of Jamestown man is accused of stealing around $39,000 in cash from his relatives.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Ryan Leid, 29, also allegedly took three men’s gold rings and a necklace from a relative’s safe at a Route 20 home in the Town of Westfield.

On Monday, deputies say Leid was arrested and issued an appearance ticket for third-degree grand larceny, a class D Felony.

Leid is asked to appear in the Town of Westfield Court at a later date.

Deputies did not specify if the money and alleged stolen items were returned.
