FORSTVILLE – A Forestville man was arrested after allegedly hitting a person during a dispute on Pearl Street in Forestville Tuesday morning.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says that Joel Tefft, 43, allegedly struck a person and then prevented them from calling 911 for help.

Additionally, deputies say Tefft additionally had an order of protection to stay away from the victim.

Tefft was placed under arrest and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Deputies say Tefft was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment in the case.
